10 UNIQUE HOTELS TO DISCOVER

Planning a wold trek takes a considerable amount of research and dedicated time. A big portion of that goes to selecting your hotel. During our late night sessions, we managed to come across a wide variety of unique hotels that made us go "oh wow", "as if" and "yeah right" over and over again. Here is our list of the most unique hotels around the world and what makes them so.
1. Palacio De Sal, Salar de Uyuni Uyuni, Bolivia The world's first hotel made out of salt. Conveniently located on salt banks of Salar de Uyuni, this luxury hotel it built entirely out of salt. That includes, ceilings, floors, furniture and decor. One rule; don't lick the walls.

2. Tree Hotel, Harads, Sweden
With a variety of unique room designs to choose from, the one thing they all have in common is that they're located amongst the trees. Their goal is to provide guests with a true ecological experience, a chance to experience nature for all its beauty.

3. The Hobbit Motel, Otorohanga, New Zealand For die hard Lord of the Ring fans, you can now live like a hobbit while you visit New Zealand.

4. Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado, USA Located in an actual ghost town nestled between the Rocky Mountains, Dunton Hot Springs is the perfect place if you're seeking seclusion. What makes this hotel unique is that the entire town can be rented out by you.

5. Giraffe Manor, Nairobi, Kenya
Picture this; you're eating breakfast by the window and enjoying the view. As you look over to pick up your cup of coffee, a giraffe pops its head in to say hello. Giraffe Manor is one of the only hotels in the world where you can feed giraffes right from you window. Talk about unique, I want a baby giraffe!

6. Poseidon, Poseidon Mystery Island, Fiji
Live under the sea with Ariel in one of the world's underwater hotels. Even though they have a portion of the hotel above water, all guests have access to both areas which include two fine dining restaurants.

7. Hotel De Glace, Québec City, Canada
Besides being entirely made out of ice, the Hotel De Glace is only open from January 4th to March 28th for the 2016 season.

8. Cappadocia Cave Suites, Goreme, Turkey
Take a trip back in time and experience what it was like to live in the Roman and Byzantine periods. Cappadocia Caves Suites are built within the caves of Turkey with a contemporary element of luxury.

9. Library Hotel, NYC, USA
Book worms rejoice! This genius and unique hotel is designed to follow the Dewie Decimal System used to categorize books. Each of the ten floors is assigned one of the ten Dewie Decimal System categories and each room is perfectly decorated and stocked with books of a particular subject from that category.

10. Kokopelli's Cave, New Mexico, USA Closed from December to the end of February due to weather conditions, Koko's Cave will give you the closest experience to living like a Flinstone.
