Ah oui oui, Canada's little Paris. Montreal is loved by Canadians for it's resemblance to Europe and laid back attitude. Although it's located in Québec, the french region of Canada, you'll find that people in Montreal speak more English than French. We've had the pleasure of visiting Montreal on several occassions and have tallied up what everyone going to Montreal should do in 24 hours.

Where did we stay? Hotel Bonaventure: Centrally located, steps away from St. Catherine's Street with a great pool lounge.

Breakfast Engaufrez vous: A waffle house that stuffs your waffles with whatever you want. If you desire a savoury dish, we suggest the Mexican Waffle. If you're craving something sweet, then definitely opt for the Diabétik.

After a filling breakfast, it's time to burn off those calories with a stroll down St.Catherine's Street - Montreal's prime shopping destination. You'll find a variety of of stores, both high end and hip boutiques and the biggest mall in the city, The Eaton Centre.

All that walking is exhausting, especially if you're carrying around dozens of shopping bags. It's time for lunch.

Lunch Frite Alors: You can't come to Canada, let alone Montreal (where it was created) and NOT try a Poutine! The rest of the world knows it as fries and cheese curds tossed in gravy - disgusting right? Nope. We promise you'll love it, especially the ones made at Frite Alors. Choose from a variety of toppings if you're feeling daring. We recommend "The Montreal" version with added smoked meat.

Now here you have two options; go back to your hotel and relax before dinner or continue shopping. We enjoy having some downtime in between activities, especially when we're getting ready for a great night out. We ended up going back to our hotel and sitting by the pool.

Dinner

Milo's: A beautiful mediterranean restauant, famous for it's fresh fish and for hosting celebrities on the regular. Fun Fact; we actually had a chance to see the cast of X-MEN Apocalypse as they dined a few tables over from us. Although costly, this restaurant does not disappoint! Definitely try the Greek Ceviche and Shrimp Plate.

Ok cool, dinner is out of the way, it's time to hit the town. Montréal has one of Canada's biggest nightlife scenes. It all depends on what you're looking for, here are some of our favourite Montréal hotspots.

After Dark

If you're looking for a wild party... New City Gas: Known for it's massive EDM events, this place is definitely worth going to if you're a fan of the scene and don't mind huge crowds.
