With 2016 just beginning, we're looking forward to experiencing new cities, activities, foods, cultures and people on our world tour. Here's a short and sweet list of things we're adding to our bucket lists and some that we think you'd enjoy as well.

1. 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, Brazil Fresh off their successful run with FIFA 2014, Rio will be hosting the 2016 Summer Olympics from August 5th to the 24th. With the Olympics being one of, if not the biggest event of the year it's hard to find a reason not to attend. Even if you can't afford a ticket to the games, just being in the hosting city gives you a unique experience where you get to mingle with people from all over the world at once. We're definitely looking forward to this worldly experience for a chance to cheer on Canada.

2. Malta Often overlooked, Malta is nestled between Italy, Tunisia and Libya where it hosts over 300 days of pure sunshine. The UNESCO World Heritage island has witnessed thousands of years of history between the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines, and Arabs; Normans, Swabians, Angevins, Aragonese, and the Knights of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem; the French and the British. Whether you're a history buff looking to dig deep into the tales of Malta or a Tourist here for the beach, this island has it all.

Move over Madrid, Spain has a new culinary have; San Sebastian. The foodies (like us) will love this experience! San Sebastian has been gaining popularity for the number of restaurants topping the "Best Resaurant" lists, not the mention then gowing Michelin Award Winning restaurants in the city (3 of 7 in Spain to be exact), including Arzak.

4. St. Helena The world will finally have full access to St.Helena. Located in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean and home to the 699 steps of Jacob's Ladder, St. Helena is a remote island belonging to Britain. With a humble population of 4000 people, the only way to reach it used to be by boat - until 2016. St. Helena is currently in the process of building it's very first airport which will open up the island to more tourism and experiences.

With all the watersports out there, it's hard to keep up. There is one in paticular that has caught my eye; Flyboarding.. possibly the coolest watersport invented, ever.

6. Sleep outside

Disconnect from the world, even if it's just for one night and sleep amongst the stars. Thankfully, we have a variety of options that will allow us to do this based on our and your comfort level. Whether you're going old school with a bonfire and a tent somewhere in Utah or staying at the Lansens Camp in Kenya, sleeping outside is an experience of it's own.
