HOW TO: STAY FIT & TRAVEL

at home workout while travelling, informal travels

I'm a fitness freak, well sort of. I love working out 4, 5 even 6 times a week to keep my mind and body sharp. Unfortunately, when you travel on a regular basis, working out falls from your priority list and you begin to heavily rely on a clean diet to make up for it. While that may work for some people, it's a lot easier to gain weight and if you're like me, it doesn't take much than a high carb meal to make you feel lethargic.

At home, we have the privilege of having a personal trainer that kicks our butt 3x a week while we work out on our own 1 to 2x a week (shout out to Fit Factory). While we wish it were that easy to find a trainer in every country we visit, our schedule just doesn't allow it on a consistent basis. To make up for it, we either find the closest gym and pay for a temporary membership OR we simply workout at home.

Working out at home is obviously the easier choice and to do it, we were going to need the right videos; enter Fitness Blender.

They're huge on Youtube, with hundreds of videos with variety of exercises from Yoga, Pilates, HIIT and Circuit training, they have something for everyone regardless of your fitness level. Most workout use minimal equipement, if any at all and they even give you an average estimate of calories burned. Their videos range in time from 10 minutes to over an hour, so you really have no excuse to not sneak in a workout. Here are some of my favourite videos;

Butt & Thigh Interval Workout

10 Minute Abs

Bikini Pilates

56 Minute Sweat Fest
