6 BEAUTIFUL BEACHES IN THE D.R.

Oh yes, Caribbean islands are heavenly, especially the Dominican Republic. After having spent a month exploring coast to coast, we've compiled a list of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic that took our breath away.
6. Cabarete Beach
Kite surf capital of the Dominican Republic; you'll find yourself mesmerized by the flying kites over the blue sea here. Once you're done soaking up the sun, walk over to the beach restaurants near the entrance. What's better than dinner with a view? (also adjacent to Kite Beach)
5. Sosua Beach
Sosua Beach, although beautiful, clean and crisp can get rather crowded. Not only to many of the tourists flock here because it is the main beach, lots of attractions take place here as well. You'll find lots of divers, snorkellers, fishers and yachts on this big beach. Nonetheless, it's definitely worth a visit if you are in that area of the Dominican Republic.
4. Playa Alicia
Located right next to Sosua Beach, Playa Alicia is a pretty little gem enclosed between two walls of rock. The waters are a perfect hue of blue that compare to Grecian seas. The nicest beach in this area of the Dominican Republic.
3. Boca Chica White sand and crystal clear waters are what you can expect from Boca Chica beach. This beach is located on the south side of the Dominican Republic island close to Santo Domingo.
2. Playa Grande
Beautiful turquoise waters, calm waves, big beach and delicious food on the beach - can it get any better? Maybe it can, see below.
1. Playa Preciosa
This beach is #1 on our list of beaches in the Dominican Republic because of the exclusivity it offers, many of the locals themselves do not even know about this beautiful beach. It's tucked away next door to Playa Grande - when you park your car, follow the paved path up the hill and around the corner. You won't be disappointed and probably will be the only person there unless our local friend Liz (who showed us this gem) is there, if so, tell her we say hi. (she will be mad we told people about this place but we had to, it is way too beautiful)
